You’re going to meet a lot of interesting people at Walnut Village. People who share a passion for getting together and enjoying a good time, even during the pandemic in a safe manner. People just like you. The village atmosphere lends a sense of intimacy—so there are plenty of opportunities to meet, share interests, and socialize.
Happenings & Highlights
Monthly Birthday Night Celebrations
Live entertainment, hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and a special meal—each month we celebrate among friends.
Excursions
We travel near and far. Among our favorites are the Grand Canyon, an Alaskan cruise and a winery tour in Monterey. We also go on dozens of day trips each month.
Wellbeing Center
There’s no better place to find all you need to be your best. Have a swim, soak in the hot tub or enjoy an exercise class. Personal training is also available.
Wii Bowling
The Wii Warriors, our Wii Bowling team, compete in the National Senior League season and play weekly. Come check out their championship trophies.
Billiards
Whether you are an experienced player or want to learn the basics, our goal is to have fun ... and perhaps some friendly competition.

If exploring your artistic side sounds like fun, then we have just the place for you. Clay's has everything you need to get those creative juices flowing, including a kiln, easels, canvas, paper, brushes, paints, clay and more.

Gather around the piano bar in the Red Chair Lounge every afternoon for snacks, libations and spirited conversations.
A Million Thanks
Our volunteers sort mail that will be delivered to military personnel stationed overseas.
Downtown Disney
Just down the road from Walnut Village, experience a variety of restaurants, shops and a little magic.
Together.
There’s a real sense of camaraderie in our neighborhood—and that invites new opportunities for sharing passions and discoveries. Whether it’s an outing to the opera or volunteering at a local elementary school, the people who call Walnut Village home are always finding new ways to connect and thrive.

For residents, by residents
Our communities are full of impassioned people. To celebrate that, we started Shine!, our life enrichment program. It’s all about getting in touch with the unique skills of the individuals who make up our communities, and giving everyone the space to be a teacher, and a student. Through this program, everyone in the community has the chance to say what they find important and interesting, and then we make those experiences happen.
Volunteer
Join the Hospitality Committee, bring your expertise to event planning or caregiving, or help out at The Nutshell—the resident-run sundry and gift store. Whatever your specialty or passion is, your assistance is greatly appreciated. We find that when residents and locals volunteer, everyone is more engaged and Walnut Village stays true to the spirit of the people who live here.

Thanks to generous donors and supporters, the Front Porch Communities Foundation (FPCF), a 501(c)3 nonprofit charitable organization, helps older people flourish. Gifts to the FPCF assist residents who outlive their resources and support community improvements that enhance the quality of life. Employees also benefit through donations to the HEART Fund and Scholarship Funds. Your charitable donations through FPCF are tax-deductible as allowed by the IRS.
FPCF works with each Front Porch community, its executive director, and residents to raise funds that benefit your community.
